Username Protected wrote: Who made the seats? I really like that "Bentley-type" diamond square pattern. I worked with Joe @ JPM Coachworks who has a very good reputation in the car world, I was referred to them by Ferrari of Atlanta. The seats were already made, his job was to reupholster them, in the process, he reworked the foam and did other tweaks as he saw necessary I initially wanted to do the diamond stitching in the same color as the leather, to make it a little less pronounced, but in reading my notes to them- i never specified that, so they did it with the accent, and it was a GOOD mistake, i really like the way it turned out, and it's incredibly soft and comfortable, did I mention they put heaters in too for the cold winter months? just got back from Destin, with more cool Garmin Footage, about to post another video up when i get it edited

Excellent Thread Gents.
I hope this is not taken as a thread diversion. Please let me know and i can delete an start a new thread.
I'd love to own one of these birds but i'm uneducated about them...infact, i keep going between a twin of a HP single...I'll primarily be flying many 200-500nm trips w some 1000+nm trips a few times a year. The piston twin would give me peace of mind for the long trips especially if i made the return trip at night.
Several things that give me pause:
1. Build/Structural Quality: Is it safe to assume that if a plane has several hundred hours on it or more, this is a non-issue? if one had any issues, how prevalent are Lanciar experienced A&Ps?
2. Insurance: While I have1,500TT & 200+hrs Multi with CFI/CFII/MEI ratings, i have zero time in lancairs (except about 10mins demo flight of Corvalis 400).
3. Maintenance: Any ADs or other recurring Mx issues?
4. Roominess: after many hours in training aircraft, i'd really prefer to not rub elbows with anyone again. Does the plane feel cramped up front (i wont be flying fromthe back seats).
Thanks again in advance.

I think it would be very hard to sell it too. I have a plane crush on the Evolution. It is, however, only 4 seats. . .not a lot of payload. We travel with company a bit. The price factor worries me because of potential resell value as an experimental. I see them sit on the market for a while. It is an amazing performer and sexy. I wonder how it would do with a PT6A-135A? Pretty awesome, I bet. OP. Beautiful Plane.
