Now THAT is what an airplane interior should look like! Gorgeous Todd!

Had the wife check out the interior today. She laughed as she got in and said "This plane..." :D

Anyway, she thought the interior was very nice. She would tell me if she did not like it as she is brutally honest about everything.

Todd,

That is a very nice job. You had great vision for the project and it turned out terrific! I noticed your wife in the left seat. Another potential pilot in the family?

I switch between the left and right seats just about every flight. I have given her a few lessons and so far they have been somewhat a failure. The problem I am having is that when the plane moves do to turbulence she freaks out and wants to let go of the controls. When I let her fly this plane she likes that it does not move in bumps but is scared when she moves the stick since it is so responsive. Putting her with a different instructor does not help either. I'm going to continue to work slowly with her doing some short dinner flights, etc. We will get past the fear.

My son, on the other hand, is a natural and is not concerned about a thing. He flew most of the way home from FL hand flying the plane. I can make a pilot out of him.

Interior looks great Todd. Again makes me want to go experimental on the next go around.

Guys, thanks for the comments. It is slightly quieter and a little less vibration as well. It is still a loud plane, but with ANR headsets it is fine.

I did a 240 knot low speed pass leaving Hartzell Field and the interior guy said it was just awesome. He said the plane was ahead of it's sound like a jet.

Flying the plane home at 207 knots on 14 GPH @ 4500 ft with the autopilot on and sitting in my Porsche Styled interior was pretty neat. Looking forward to Max's. Will be happy to let anyone fly the plane Friday before drinking or Saturday 8 hours after drinking  :D

207 on 14 gph at that altitude is ridiculous! What a performer!

Thanks guys. I have never owned a "new" plane before and this one is pretty much new. It is nice to hop into something that looks and smells new with everything working like it should. I can't imagine what it would be like to own a new Pilatus or something like that - would be awesome. There is something to be said for owning a plane that is just "right."

Lol, I have a short memory. I actually have owned 4 new aircraft. I forgot about the ones I built. :D Anyway, nice to have the better quality with someone else doing the work and the new technology in the panel.
