This seems like a fast little plane.

http://www.blackwing.se/

100 hp Rotax engine and it can do 150 knots cruise @ 75%
135 hp and cruise jumps to 179.9 knots

35 knot stall speed

Retractable Gear, 47.5" Wide Cabin

I don't know much but is this considered a low load wing design? Or would this be something considered hard to fly like a Lancair?

With a 35-knot stall speed I would assume it has light wing loading like a Malibu; however, they are talking about high green arc speeds (I assume high Va also) and +12/-8 airframe stress capability, so it is obviously strong. My guess is that it will be light on the controls like a Lancair or Glasair, but that does not make it hard to fly. I find the light controls to be easier.

Thanks. They cost basically $175K in a retractable gear configuration no paint but all the panel and interior upgrades with the 100 hp engine. Another 15K for the 135 hp engine.

Figure it could be an easy plane to fly and with such a low stall speed it could be safe to land.

Nice to see this type of craft. I will be following this myself. I fly a Lancair now and it is not at all hard to land safely.

Dream plane, dream.. Is a Lancair 360 but everyone gives me the look like I want to walk to the moon when I say that. So maybe 99 out 100 are right and time to let that go for something else.

This plane is admittedly not as pretty as a the Lancair, but it's got a lot lower stall speed, which might be hard to land in its own right as some planes are hard to slow down and 35 is SLOW, which should make it safer.

100 hp and 150 knots with under 4 gpm fuel burn is attractive. Of course the 135hp option is even more attractive.

Pretty cool plane to me. Curious to see if it lives up to its claims. I wonder what avionics it will be available with.
