Here is a video of an experimental aircraft that was developed for the Mexican Air Force in the 1930's which my grandfather test flew. It's a bit long, but was interesting to find.

This stuff turns my crank! The passion of these guys and their woodworking skills is the roots of our aviation. It begs the question of flying a wood airplane; I've never done it but it's not going to rattle or oil can. Thanks for sharing....truly humbling.
