BeechTalk - BT - C414A heater broken -- looking for mid-atlantic repair

Our 414 has a broken heater. Local A&P says it is the motor fan, but Lock Haven, apparently the preferred repair place, says they may not have the parts in stock, and it can take 2 weeks to get the right parts with the current holiday season.

I'd really like to get the plane up and running sooner than later. Any places that can be recommended for me to call besides Lock Haven within a 400 mile radius of Wash DC?

Harold Haskins Or C&D are two that come to mind. Not sure about the 400 miles though. Todd

Were you able to get the C-414 heater repaired?? I have a C-414 heater that needs some parts and we are having a difficult time finding parts availability.

Bill,

Yes, based on the recommendation here, we reached out to C&D and they had the parts we needed (fan parts). Got up and running in 7 days.

We just ordered a pump-motor-fan assembly from C&D for our C-414. We were surprised and thankful that the assembly was available. We'll see if we get the correct one and all works. This assembly was about $1500 and a complete new heater assembly was about $4600 so thought we would take a chance on fixing this one.
