I would guess that those braided lines carried either gaseous or liquid oxygen (LOX). If they carried LOX, that part where the paper is stuffed would have connected to an oxygen converter (LOX-gas) with the regulator that interfaced with the crewmembers' pressure suit.

Every Air Force airplane I've flown has a thunderstorm light switch. It turns the dome light to full bright in case you lose night vision in a darkened cockpit after a bright flash of lightning.

From the knob markings on the manually adjustable inlet ramps (the spikes), you can infer that the Mmo was 3.2

My favorite is the "RSO Ejected" status light, to the left of the HSI.

I would think the pilot would already know it if the WSO bailed out on him.
