Dave Dave, thanks for that offer! I will pass it on to him.... When I ran the idea by him he was still staunchly in the single engine camp. I reminded him you can buy a lot of Jet A for the difference in capital outlay between the two planes.

Correction - you can buy a lot of JetA with the ongoing earnings on the difference in capital outlay... For me, capital cost is the single biggest cost of ownership (private owner/operator, fairly low time per year). The money I earn on the capital cost saved by not owning a relatively new-ish TBM covers my entire operating cost for the year. Even on an older used TBM, the difference covers nearly all of my fuel cost for a year.

Ps - Glenn, you should talk to Ken Andrews. He is one of at least three MU-2 owners I know of who had aerostars and moved to MU-2s. All three say their dispatch reliability went up and costs went DOWN when they made the shift. I'd be happy to put you in touch with him. Drats, that is a good sales pitch. Where is that Trade a Plane!

Would there be any benefit to going for just one day? There is about a snowball's chance in hell that I'll actually be able to get an entire weekend off, but I may be able to swing a Friday or a Saturday only.
I may be flying my company's Caravan by the end of the summer so getting more knowledge of turbine ops than I already have would be a good thing.

No just a -42. I thought I remembered someone saying there was a bunch of stuff that applied to all turbines not just the 331's
