A gentleman on the COPA forum reported that he was at the factory last week and conforming airframe number 1 had the engine hung, windows in, some of the interior and some other stuff. Originally, it was scheduled to fly by Valentine's day but he was told end of this month. Conforming airframe #2 is also under construction. So, there ought to be something reported soon. IIRC the original price estimate was sub $1.5 million? There are a lot of place holders who will never buy the jet but who can transfer their delivery number and cost guarantee for a fairly small fee to Cirrus. One of the guys I know has slot #4, or close to it, and doesn't plan to take delivery. So, it will be interesting to see what the first couple of dozen owners actually pay. I'll bet it will be like people with NBA season tickets .
