This 30.5" pearl necklace is composed of eighty-one (81) akoya, cultured, uniform, knotted 9.00 by 8.5mm pearls. The gemologist/appraiser (see attached) describes the pearls as "light cream body color with rose overtones, no orient, good nacre, very good luster, excellent matching, drill holes are centered and small, weigh 21.15 momme."
The strand of pearls has an 18k yellow gold clasp stamped 750 with a bright finish, signed KW which is usually attributed to Kurt Wayne, a renowned designer of bespoke jewelry. A C shape clasp has a border with prong set round diamonds and a prong set marquise diamond. Twelve (12) natural round brilliant-cut diamonds 3.50 - 2.30mm wide total 1.00 carats, Color Grade G-H, Clarity Grade VS1 - VS2. There is one (1) natural round brilliant-cut diamond 0.25 carats that measures 4.00mm wide, Color Grade G-H, Clarity Grade VS1 - VS2. The one natural marquise shape brilliant cut 0.25 diamond measures 5.50 mm by 2.75 mm.
