Selling one of my favorite watches to fund upgrades on my airplane!
I bought this watch as a retirement gift to myself in 2017.
I looked for quite awhile to find this particular model.
This reference, 35725000 has the traditional Hesalite front and Sapphire back crystals.
The Hesalite has a small crack at the 11 o’clock position.
The sapphire back provides a great view of the beautiful mechanical movement.
The watch runs perfectly and gains about 1 minute per week.
The watch was sold new in Japan in May 2000.
Current prices for this model on Chrono 24 are in the 4000-6000 range.
I am looking for $3750.00 for a quick sale.
Shipping at purchasers expense.
The watch will remain in my possession until funds have cleared at my bank.
Very nice watch that I wear on a rotating basis.
It has minor scratches and scuffs as you would expect ftom daily wear.
Original inner and outer boxes and the warranty card included.
Original extra links and additional band included.
If you need more pictures let me know.
Thanks
Chuck Beavers

Hello Chuck. I have this same model. I could be wrong but I believe the model with clear back has a conventional crystal on the front. I did not want the soft hesalite which is why I chose the clear back. The same watch with solid back has hesalite.

Gorgeous watch either way. I like that these are not as thick as other chronograph so you can wear a long sleeve shirt over it.

My belief as well, however his shows on Omega as hesalite. https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watc ... h-35725000

When I bought mine the only options were as you described... Hesalite front and solid back, or the "sapphire sandwich". Seems there was a hesalite version unless the Omega site is wrong.

I have mine on a leather strap and wear it with a suit. Very nice watches.

The “Hesalite sandwich “was only available for a couple years back in 1999-2000. The current versions are not offered that way. In the newer iterations you can only get the clear back with the sapphire crystal. Just an oddity that I like a little better. The original moon watches were all Hesalite.
Check the reference number shown on the warranty card on a site like Chrono 24 for more information on that reference.

 I just noticed that the Speedmasters have a phallus at 12 o'clock. Makes me want it more!

My Dad gave me a speedmaster for my 16th birthday. I’ve been wearing it for 51 years.

SOLD!
Thanks everyone for the kind words! The traditional Speedmasters are truly great watches!
This one has been spoken for by a fellow BT member and is being shipped today.
Truly hope he enjoys it as much as I have.
Thanks again!
