It really never ceases to amaze me how much better cars the auto industry makes now. Anyone care to guess what you average 1973 car looked like in 1983 with 173K on it?

I’ve owned 7 Mercs since 2003, all 2000 or newer and they have all gone over 160k miles with minimal work and have looked almost as good as new (the early E and CLK did rust) but they went over 200k miles easy.
