Hello, I have for sale a 2023 Ford Lightning. I ordered this truck as soon as they would take orders back in the spring of 2022. It has EVERY option that was available and could be ordered including the Azure Gray Metallic Tri-Coat. It has the 100K bumper to bumper warranty including the prepaid maintenance plan which even includes the windshield wiper blades and brakes. It costs $40 to transfer the warranties to your name. The dealership had 489 orders and only received 18 trucks and I obviously got 1 of those 18. It has the extended range battery so it is the 580 HP / 775 ft lb torque. 0-60 in 4 seconds. It has the lane assist, park assist, one pedal driving and navigation. It also has ALL three chargers / charging options included. The 115 VAC, the 230 VAC 50 AMP as well as the 80 AMP fast charger. It has the 9.6 KW generator where you can run your house off of the truck. That does require that you connect the 80 AMP Charger. I will consider all interesting trades … up, down or ? Aircraft trades ? (Tesla Model S Plaid 2022 or 2023 year models), Barons, Bonanzas, MU-2, Citation II, Citation III? The MSRP on the truck, with the warranties included is $107,571.30. If you have been watching these trucks and wanting one of them then you know that if it was on a Ford dealers lot right now they would be asking ### And NO, I did NOT sign their agreement saying that I would not sell or otherwise transfer ownership of this vehicle for one year so it is perfectly 100% legal for me to transfer the ownership. It’s brand new. The plastic has not been removed. PM me for more photos. Thanks, Frank

I am with you on the ridiculous prices of automobiles and especially the EV’s and the fact that most of the more in demand EV’s are basically unobtainable. Obviously for Ford to only ship 18 trucks total to a dealership that had just shy of 500 orders? And to place an order you had to make a down payment. Will they refund the other almost 500 deposits or get people to roll their down payments into another vehicle? I asked the person that I know there how many people financed vs paying cash for their Lightning trucks and it was 18 paid cash and 0 financed. Sometimes I think that manufacturers create a shortage just to drive up the demand and prices. But, sometimes the shortages are legit I guess. I understand that had someone taken delivery of a new TBM 940 last year that it has appreciated about $1M in value and if you were to order a new TBM 960 today that it’s over a 2 year wait. While I certainly don’t think that the manufacture of the TBM is creating a false back log I would certainly have to wonder about the automobile manufacturers. Frank

Hi Frank, having worked in that industry I think that runs so counter to their nature that it can't be intentional. The natural order is to always build more units.
Even when there is something unusual like a limited-production anniversary edition or some such nonsense, at the end of the run there is a meeting and a big push "they all sold out in days, we are sitting here on excess components, the tooling is still staged - let's build another 1500"

Hello Justin, I actually never really thought that I would get one when I put my name on the list. So, since I got it I figured if I could make a little on it and save someone else a little that really wanted on … that I would pass it on. If it doesn’t sell, we may keep it and ride it for a year and then sell it. Two Ford dealers have made me pretty fair offers on the truck so if it doesn’t sell I may go that option, just not sure yet. It’s fun to drive and with the local free chargers .. it’s very inexpensive to operate. Even if you always charge from home vs the free chargers it’s still inexpensive to operate. When you put your destination in the nav it tells you where to stop and for how long to charge. For a trip from Ormond Beach, FL to Pittsburgh PA it has you stopping approximately every four hours, if you choose that function and adds 1 hour 20 minutes to the trip. So it’s actually not really that bad to travel on a trip with. Frank

Thanks Frank, I've been eying them but I'm waiting for a Rivian once I'm confident they will be around a while. I doubt you'll have much trouble moving it with the current demand!

The Rivian is FAST … very very FAST. They offer an 800 HP version, but have you drove or ridden in one of them? There is a reason why you can easily find them … and why they cost as little as they do. If you would have any interest in one with 11,000 miles on it I know where one is at. He was asking $46K for it, but that was a couple of months ago so it might be cheaper now and I see it’s still setting in his garage when I drive up the street.
Thanks, Frank
