I buy a new laptop every 2-3 years and for the last few times have listed the one I'm selling on Beechtalk first. In preparation for sale, even though cosmetically it was a 9.9, I noticed that the left Command key would stick once in awhile so I took it to the Apple Store in San Antonio to see if my AppleCare+ coverage would get me a new Keyboard. They ran a diagnostic on it and said that some logic boards had been recalled and that I was going to get a
new keyboard/top cover (which includes a new trackpad, battery and and speaker),
logic board (which includes new processor, new RAM and SSD). So it's basically a new computer. I received it back FedEx yesterday (Saturday overnight delivery!).
The computer was $5999 plus tax plus $379 for AppleCare+, plus the clamshell protective cover (which I will include). With 8.25% tax and everything it was pushing $7000. As I mentioned it still has AppleCare+ until June 2, 2023. It will be wiped clean and will have the latest MacOS Monterey on it.
$3500 pick up local (Zelle) or $35 shipping anywhere in the 48 US.
