I know that this is a long shot, but there are many knowledgable people here and maybe you can point me in a direction.

We have downsized recently and I have a few pieces of older audio equipment in boxes that I would like to move:

1. Denon AVR-2500

Tuning range: FM, MW
Power Output: 85W into 8Ω (stereo)85W (fr), 85W (cen), 25W (sur)
Frequency Response: 10Hz to 50kHz
Distortion: 0.05%
Speaker Impedance: 6 to 16Ω
Input Sensitivity: 2.5mV (mm), 150mV (line)
Signal to Noise Ratio: 92dB (line)
Line Output: 150mV (line)
Video Connections: composite, SVHS
Dimensions: 434 x 161 x 433 mm
Weight: 11.7 kg

2. Rock Solid (by B&W) Surround Sound

150W, 8 Ohm Bookshelf Speakers (5 total - 4 Black, 1 White)
1 PB100 (I believe) Subwoofer

I have no idea what this is worth, but I know it's likely not a bunch. I would rather see it used than discarded, even it is for a hangar radio system. This has been in the original boxes for 10+ years, stored inside a dry home, no moisture.

Since BT requires a price Im going to say $ 100,000,000,000 or best offer, plus shipping :).

Any thoughts from anyone would be appreciated.

Brad

Thanks, it was good quality when I bought it but I fear the market has moved on.

I hope somebody knows something about it - I would like to see it go to a good home.

A quick search turned up a few AVR-2500s for $40-100 each. The $40 one works but has knobs missing etc.

That’s about what I saw too. Based on its age I doubt it’s worth too much, I’d just like to see it get used by someone.

Thx

I tried listing my AV stuff on Ebay, but that equipment is heavy and the shipping cost frequently exceeds the value of the equipment.

I have one of those Denon sitting in my garage also. Expensive as heck when I got it. They sound great but it seemed like I was the only one who could figure out in my house how to use the thing.

I never thought of it at my hangar. Mine just might have a new home. But being that I'm at Reid Hillview there is probably a law against music.

I have a 25 year old top of the line Denon Preamp that I bought. It was part of their reference line. A majority of the components inside the unit are encased in a copper box to "shield" it from outside interference. Paid a crapload for the unit back when I was into HiFi. M&K Bookshelf speakers run by a Meridian amplifier.... The whole unit collects dust inside the hangar. All running thru a $15 bluetooth receiver to play Spotify while I tinker with the mistress....

Back in the day, keeping it in a dusty hangar to play music would have been crazy. Stuff isn't worth anything anymore

Thanks, shipping rules me out.

Currently running an ancient Denon AVR-788 in my shop, thought it might be nice to pick up a spare for when this one dies.

If I get close to Tulsa on a trip in the near future I will let you know.

Thx
