Lots of talented nurses, Docs, PAs, NPs, and surgical floor techs, physical and occupational therapists, and even a housekeeper helped me recover.
FWIW, one of my best friends, Thom Pritz, beat pancreatic cancer more than 20 years ago. I know it's one of the worst - we lost our oldest son to it in 2018.

My condolences to you and SWMBO for the loss of your oldest. A parent should never have to bury a child.
Congratulations to you and your friend Thom. The "good kind" will get you 250 months on average if caught early.
Mine "ate" two lymph nodes but, fortunately, didn't spread through the lymphatic system. While it killed me, I was fortunate to have been in the ICU when everything went south and live a 7 minute helicopter ride to INOVA Fairfax. It took months to recover, get through all of the needed diagnostics to determine whether they could remove it, of if I needed to make my final plans and enjoy what good days were left with family.
Just in case it does, I am working on minimizing all the "crap" that I have so it is easier for SWMBO and the kids.
