Robert, We are considering the 750 vs 750xi (AZ90 is our hope airport) what did you not like about the 750 that made you upgrade to the xi? Any thing you could share about how this garmin product does in the AZ hot weather? Overall, I am interested and am wondering do you have a cooling fan also installed for the 750? What is everything that comes with the 750 you are selling?

Eric, I have a 750 in my bonanza and I just upgraded to a 750 Xi (from GNS 530) in my baron. I'm still figuring out the 750 Xi, but my initial impression is that there are 2 main things I notice on the 750 Xi that are different: the boot time is faster on the 750 Xi (almost immediate). The 750 is still quick (just not immediate). This is because of the dual processors in the 750 Xi versus the single processor 750. The other thing I notice is that on the 750 Xi you can scroll through various pages using the outer knob button (e.g. map, traffic, etc...) that is not available on the 750 (that I know of). They (Garmin) claim that the screen resolution is much higher on the 750 Xi, giving a clearer picture, but to me I don't see much of a difference. I think the upgrades on the 750 Xi are more of convenience features than necessities.
I love the 750 and have used it for years. I have no plans to upgrade it to the Xi in my bonanza, as I don't see it's worth the money. I think if you can get a good unit at a much better price, you'll be very happy with the 750.

My unit has a new cooling fan and I've never had issues with overheating. The unit comes with the database card.
