For those who have the Sandel SN3308 installed and would prefer an LED display for better visibility of the display, this upgrade may be for you.

Here's what is included:

1. Used Sandel SN3500 LED Electronic HSI with GPS Steering (LNAV) capability
2. Lone Star 14 to 28V DC converter
3. Wiring harness to convert 3308 connectors to 3500 connectors that makes the wiring a mostly plug-and-play effort
4. Wiring diagram that shows how the wiring harness was configured on my installation

How does this work?
You will need to examine what features and connections are enabled on your 3308 and then review the wiring harness diagram to determine if any changes or additions are needed. Then remove your 3308 and leave wiring and connectors in place. Connect the three 3308 connectors to the supplied wiring harness that is mated to the 2 connectors for the SN3500. The third SN3500 connector is used for 28VDC power. Install the Lone Star power converter and connect it to the SN3500, go the through configuration set up procedure for the 3500 and you should be ready for your field approval.

Those without a 3308 installed can still install the SN3500 if you have an existing HSI. This may require more wiring changes depending on your current installation.
