Gallagher Aviation is proud to announce that we now carry the Marsh Brothers AeroTough® Grease Free (GF) Fuel Cap Washers for your flush mounted Shaw 416, 516, 431, and 531 type fuel caps (they work on all models). As our fuel caps age, the metal washer on our fuel caps wear out the plunger by rounding it down, which prevents it to close flush like they were originally designed to do. With the M&A of Shaw Aerospace by Parker Hannifin support for these fuel caps has generally vanished unless you can find new old stock fuel caps or are willing to pay a hefty fee for a new cap to be manufactured. The Marsh Brothers blue washer is an excellent solution to fix these problems. Prior to stocking this product, I got a taste of them for N11GG and I am impressed! A couple of my Shaw 416 fuel cap plungers were stiff and would also not stay flush. Problem solved. These washers help make opening and closing much easier and will ensure your fuel cap remains safe and functional. They are made from a durable thermoplastic polymer that has inherent self-lubricating properties. They rejuvenate your Shaw fuel cap with smooth operation of the locking tab/plunger, provide a consistent open/close force, and have a long wear life. These are FAA approved. Add in my blue fluorosilicone fuel cap kits for your fuel caps and you will be sitting pretty well! P/N M-00-1000-1 - (One washer) - $75 P/N M-00-1000-2 - (two washers) - $116 P/N M-00-1000-3 - (three washers) - $154 P/N M-00-1000-4 - (four washers) - $187 Shipping via USPS Priority mail is $10. International shipping is available but for an extra quoted amount. http://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/products - Order here 1-833-425-5288 <-- Call me here gallagheraviationllc@gmail.com <-- Email me here

I have these on the Aerostar. They seem expensive for washers, but it's hard to convey how much difference they make.
The caps went from difficult to use, even when recently lubricated, to buttery smooth.
One of the biggest "bang for the buck and effort" things you can do for your airplane.

Oh, please! I haven't even had a chance to install your WAT light kit and now I have to buy these too?? I'll take a pair. Look for a DM. I just cleaned and rebuilt one cap with the original washer. The metal c-washer is badly worn (a surprising amount of dirt and grime accumulates down there) and clearly not up to the job anymore. I suspect the other side is the same. Marshall (pretty soon I'll have call my plane "Washington's Axe")

This may be an ignorant question, but do these just slide in or do I need to disassemble the cap to install them? It looks like they just slide in but I wanted to be sure. Thanks.

Thanks. Hi Walter- The Gabb caps need to be disassembled to install the washer. It is an easy process if you do not drop the hinge pin on the floor, where it bounces into the accumulated dust and detritus underneath a storage cabinet. I am not sure about the Shaw caps. Regards, Bob

Will these work with the Wisco caps? (The metal ones not the red plastic ones.)
