For sale is my "as removed" Garmin GTS800 Active Traffic System. It is priced at $2800. I will include UPS ground shipping within the continental US as part of the price. I'm in Southern California at KCCB. If you want to meet up at another local airport let me know.
To my knowledge Garmin makes the only two avionics, that when interfaced together, you get a true traffic picture since you are using both ADS-B In traffic and combining it with Active Traffic. This is the case when you pair the GTS800 Active Traffic System with the GTX-345 Transponder. Here is what the GTX345 Pilots Guide says about this combination:
"4.3 TCAD/TAS/TCAS I GTX 345 Integration
To optimize situational awareness the GTX 345 correlates TCAD/TAS/TCAS with ADS-B In traffic, combining data from all sources. This creates the most accurate and comprehensive traffic picture. When a correlation is made the most relevant target is displayed. There are no duplicates. Any active traffic system, or ADS-B traffic that is not correlated, will also display. When a GTX 3X5 and TAS/TCAS system integrate, the GTX 3X5 controls the operating mode of the TAS/TCAS system. It does this by using both its own air/ground logic and the available mode controls from the interfaced display. The GTX 345 provides all traffic aural alerts."
The GTS800 comes with a GA 58 antenna, new straight and right angle QMA connector kits (with 8130-3 forms), connectors, back shells, and a new USB harness. It also comes with a new horizontal mounting tray (with 8130-3 form), and a used vertical mounting tray. This way your installer has both options to mount the traffic computer in the best possible location.
