Can folks give me an idea of what a set of co-pilot brakes for a B-55 should sell for. TIA

If I were in the market it would depend on which master cylinders and their condition. Master cylinder cores are worth $100-$200 so right there you have potentially $400. Assuming you really do have every single piece needed to add these to a plane I'd value it at $750 if the master cylinders are serviceable.

You would think it all would be worth more but what hurts the value is the limited market, the extra $500 for new hoses and the labor cost to install.

I paid 1000 dollars for a used set 20 years ago. I copied all the hoses and replaced with new. I bought new master cylinders also.
They work great.

Tubing / alloy

If mine , duplicate in 304 stainless

4 hoses / rh side

2 master cylinders

There are a few versions per year / serial

The value is the tubing as all else should be replaced

Late model masters
no value as there is no scraper/ wiper seal available

This is why I stock new

hoses are missing chafe per spec , no tags , no date of mfg ,
no value

Pedals could be polished or sent out for silver cad plate

Tubes could be re-used and straightened
If my install duplicate in 304 stainless steel

Its best to advise the serial range of removal or look at hoof valve serial range

I copy tubing every week and sell complete hoses assys for the system

The two valves are worth more than the rest of it combined..

Inspect and use the tubes, clean up the pedals like Guy said. An installer will still need to replace the two arms below the floor to prevent the pedals from folding and match the IPC.

I've expressed on other BT threads my desire to install Co-Pilot Brakes on my 77 E55 Baron.

I've researched in detail every thread I could find on BT search. A lot of very interesting and helpful information and advice. However, on my Baron (TE1110), I have a major problem and have not been able to resolve it!

I am asking the many knowledgeable BT experts for a little help with my issue. As an A&P, I understand all the hydraulic plumbing, the need for the "shuttle valve" and piping. I plan to purchase new master cylinders. I already have the Brake Pedals and many years ago I installed three piston brake calipers. They were necessary when landing ahead of heavy metal major airlines for all the years I was based at KDTW.

So, what's my problem? I would have thought that Beechcraft would have provided the metal tubing supports for the copilot master cylinders as part of the normal keel section fabrication. My 77 E55 does not have that tubular support behind the copilot pedal pivot tubing.

I have and have researched the complete Beechcraft parts manual on my computer, which covers the complete Baron line up to the G58's. I have spent many hours looking through sections " 27-20-00-05", and section "27-20-00-06”, which cover the Pilot and Copilot Brake hardware, but couldn't find anything (part # or illustration) with regards to the supporting structure for the master cylinders on either the pilots or copilot’s side.

I also research Section 53 which covers the fabrication of the fuselage both the upper and lower structures for all Baron models. I could not find a drawing or a part description or a part number for the master cylinder support structure.
Appreciate any input or advice from the BT community!!

You may have seen the link on the CSOBeech website, but my last picture shows part of the green steel bar that crosses between the structure that they attach to.

That was on TC-1159.

You may order the print for dual brakes from textron

It’s a large print

Based on your serial

337?
If the parts are in the TCDS, IPC and dual brakes are a factory option then this is a minor alteration.
Same as installing another legible engine listed in the TCDS. Log entry.
Am I missing something?

Hi Chris,
You didn't miss a thing! The only thing missing is the support shaft behind the pedal pivot shaft that supports and attaches the master cylinders to the brake pedals. Beech never installed that shaft as part of the lower keel assembly for my aircraft. The year 1977 was the highest production year for general aviation (Beech, Cessna, Piper, Mooney, few others produced over 17000 aircraft. I'm guessing Beech didn't have time to install this support shaft on the copilot side!
