I have (1) IFD550 with IR/EVS vision capability, brand new, only powered up to show display( I have no GPS or Comm antenna to show that data on screen) This was marketed by BK as the AeroNav 910, which, as with Avidyne, is their top of the unit. The BK units are all advertised in the high 20's and low 30k, however , the AVIDYNE 550 is the same. This has the BT keyboard included as well.
This is an outright sale, so if you have a Garmin 530, it is a slide in replacement , plus config, and you can sell your GNS 530 on this site if you so desire, usually for a minimum of 4k. . If anyone would like to see the unit , I'm at KWHP in SoCal, and I can meet at the airport. Most pilots know these units, but here are some features, including3D ARS and Dynamic Synthetic vision system, which is not available on the IFD 440 or the IFD540. Although most GA aircraft do not have the IR/EVS capability, this about a 2k option on the 550.
If you click each photo, the orientation will be top up.

Had the IFD 550 in my Saratoga. Absolutely LOVED it. Paired with dual G5's and a GFC 500 AP it was awesome.

Sorry for the late reply. I just checked the unit SN stamp, and Lance is correct , the VHF power indicates 10W as configured.
The side plate data tag says: PN 700-00182-721 Rev 3. SN M192756766.
As noted , the unit is new and never been installed, the only power up is shown on the ground support box that are in the photos , so approximately 10 minutes, The activation code and all paperwork , including the 8130-3 form come with it, with full factory warranty.

You might want to check with Avidyne regarding the 10W vs 16W. I think that it might be based on configuration AND supply power. On the IFD 550 it shows 16W available only on a 28 VDC system, so is this configurable, or does it require a different transmitter section? This is just what I have seen on their website. You should talk to someone competent at Avidyne for full clarification. https://www.avidyne.com/shop/fms-gps-na ... #tab-10702I would love this box, just can't justify it right now.
