Brand new dry 24 VDC aircraft battery never had acid. Includes caps, paperwork and hardware. PM me with your cell or email if you want photos, but it is brand new unused. I need the G-243 and this is the G-242.

Replied with a message, but to answer here I went to the Gill site and read the technical manual which stated the shelf life starts when you initialize the battery with acid. The only battery that showed a 2 year shelf life from date of manufacture to being placed into service is the sealed batteries. I was told by an IA the important thing is initializing the battery per the directions included with the battery, which includes soaking the battery 8 hours with acid, then topping again with acid, before the 3 amp long charge. After that ONLY add distilled water to top off the acid level in the battery. NEVER add more acid as that will screw up the chemical process of charging the battery. Hope this answers a few questions.
