Fellow BTers, I help run a program where we have high schoolers build an airplane (Zenith 750 Cruzer) at our small airport (3C1) near South Bend, IN. It's the brainchild of a SWA pilot Matt Branson and the FAA's 2024 Aviation Technician of the Year Marty King. The program is called STAY Indiana and you can see us at https://www.stayindiana.org or on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/stay_indiana/Everything about our program is driven by donations. One of the things we will be looking for soon is avionics. If you have working avionics that you'd be interested in donating please reach out to me. I will be working with an avionics tech to make sure that the items are offered are what we can and would use, so please don't be upset if we have to decline some items. We are a 501(c)(3) and can provide you with the paperwork for this to be a tax deductible, charitable donation. One of our students was interviewed briefly by the local ABC affiliate during their coverage of South Bend International Airport's Aviation Education Day https://abc57.com/news/south-bend-commu ... cation-day*edit* Another news coverage from our "Open House" when we first got started this year : https://wsbt.com/news/local/stay-indian ... -students#

Sorry I am not able to help out but wanted to say how great of an idea this is. It’s great to see our youth express interest in aviation and take part in a project like this.

We have a surprising mix of students, from those wanting to be airline pilots, two that want to be aerospace engineers, and several that are interested in becoming A&Ps. We have volunteers that help instruct twice a week during the day in a sponsored session specifically with South Bend Public Schools and then two nights a week with a mix of kids from different schools.

I just wanted to bump this as we have reached the point where we are seeking quotes from Advanced Flight Systems and Midwest Panels.
@Scott - I somehow missed your original post, but I am trying to confirm that we have not yet bought/installed fuel senders before I reach out.
