Two (left and right) restored 15 gallon Flight Extender tip tanks available for someone who already has the STC for their plane. DeShannon will NOT sell you the STC to install them on an airframe that does not already have them. (although they did it for me once in the past)
This is an opportunity to replace damaged or leaky tanks that you might have.
Tanks have new drains, new fillers, new lenses, new LED bulbs, new 33-240 ohm float/sending units and new fuel line connectors. (they do not have visual quantity windows) Pressure and leak tested, primed and ready for paint.
PU in Ohio or i do have shipping crates for them. $5K plus shipping

They look great, but why did you eliminate the sight windows?

Not a criticism, just curious.

That cap looks very different from mine, any details on it?

Short version - previous owner used floats/sending unit/gauges.
I could have tried to ‘create’ the sight windows but the older fiberglass tanks really weren’t that transparent.

Old ‘thermos’ style caps missing and protruded into airstream and were rather ugly.

Got it.

The sight glasses are susceptible to decay if not treated with a UV-resistant clear coat.

Resin and raw fiberglass do not like sunlight.

I don't have a "thermos" style cap. Mine are flush but very different than those, which is why I asked.
