This was overhauled in 2013 by autopilots central, in Tulsa. It worked well when removed during an avionics upgrade. It will keep the wings level, or track a VOR or GPS course. No altitude hold, only roll. One knob missing, use yours from your non-working unit. This one really works. Included are some parts that I think are servos, not sure of what is there. Give it a shot if yours doesn’t work. Only $200.

Do you know what was done when it went to Autopilots Central? Was it just evaluated or was the gyro overhauled and adjusted?
I currently have an operatable unit in my plane that works, but since none of the electronic boards are available anymore servicing these days is limited to "yeah, it works or na, it doesn't work", so I'd like this as a backup.
However, if there truly is someone who wants to replace their inop unit I'll let them have right of first refusal.

I had it rebuilt around 2009 at the same place for $4500 as I recall. I presume that was a total overhaul. In 2013 I had them look at it again, and they said it was all good. It has worked pretty well sinc then. These are a bit finicky, but with the airplane trimmed right, it will track the GPS course for hours.

Still available Carl? I'm interested if it is.
