I am looking for a GREAT NEIGHBOR!. I am ready to split my 80 acre farm into two tracts of 40 acres each. The parcel that I would like to sell is depicted in the pictures that follow. The property is approximately 1/2 pasture and 1/2 wooded. Multiple homesites on the gently rolling terrain. The only structure on the parcel is a 50x50 metal and wood barn that is used as a hangar. There is a small office and tie downs imbedded in the concrete floor. The property is located between the towns of Rockmart and Cedartown in Polk County Ga. It is a measured 48 miles to Hartsfield International Airport and the ride takes just over an hour most days. Shopping at Walmart,Home Depot,Kroger etc. is 7 miles in either direction. Our municipal airport (4A4) is 5 miles from the property. The grass strip is 1100 ft long with a good approach from the north. It is more than adequate for most tail draggers and I kept my G35 Bonanza here for several years before I sold it. I am looking for a “NO DRAMA” type of guy or gal or family to share this with and that would mean no fence crossing the runway! This is a rare opportunity to purchase land this beautiful in one of the most desirable areas of NW Georgia. The price is $ 450k and I would consider some seller financing to a creditworthy purchaser. Please give me a call if you have questions or if you may have an interest in the adjoining tract which has a beautiful 4500 sq ft custom home, pool and barn. Thanks Chuck 470-218-9588 989 Grady Rd Rockmart, Ga

How about 10 of us Great Neighbors with a little money each? Sidney is retired now and I’m sure would like to spend a few months each year in the opposite corner of the country Russ and Todd must be tired of the wind and flatland by now Dan can come out of retirement and throw jumpers out of perfectly good airplanes at the dropzone next door I can do owner assist annuals for E-Series in the hangar and Ron can teach them how to get in and out of that short strip when not flying jumpers on the side. Isn’t Tullahoma and the Beechcraft Museum a short flight away…

Thank you all for the kind comments! If you have never been to this part of the country you are missing it. All 4 seasons with just the right temperatures. Might get a bit humid in June, July and August. Very seldom do we see snow. Sub freezing temps don’t last more than a few days at a time in January and February. Housing prices are still reasonable compared to most of the country. It’s really a great place to spend retirement! Come and build your dream home and live with your airplane!
