Great solution if you want to get rid of glareshield clutter but don’t want to spend big bucks for a transponder with ADS-B in/out capability. It can display TIS-B and FISs-B on panel avionics (had this one connected to Avidyne IFD540) and also to iPads running several popular EFB software packages via WiFi.

The FreeFlight Systems RANGR 978 Receiver is a diversity capable, certified, and installed ADS-B In solution. It displays free ADS-B weather and traffic data to an installed MFD or to a compatible tablet device via the WiFi module. The RANGR RX is a lightweight, installed system that provides full ADS-B capability when paired with a certified ADS-B Out system. The RANGR VXR automatically synchronizes with legacy transponders without the need for additional pilot interaction, and is part of our AML STC for most aircraft types.

Hi Andrew,
Can you tell us what devices the Ranger will deiplay on?? EG GNS 530W/430W or gmx200 etc???

Dave It will interface to Aspen, MX20, GNS430W/530W and Avidyne 440/540 and several other legacy displays via RS232 in/out and ARINC 429 in/out. Requires a ADS-B out transponder to be installed in the aircraft. Here is a link to the install manual. I am still thinking about this for our Twin Bonanza project, and I am talking to our tech heads about whether it will work in Australia.
If you still have it, I'll look into it a bit further and send you a PM in a day or so.
Can you ship it out to Aussie???USPS is great!!
