IO-550-B9F, S/N 296772-R for sale. The aircraft was flown here (Pittsburgh, PA) from California a few months ago with no issues, and the new owner is changing to an overhead induction IO-550-R. Continental factory reman in 1996, currently with 1,588 hrs time in service.
· All 6 cylinders replaced with overhauled chrome cylinders by Sal’s Aircraft Cylinders on 4/2020, and only have 292 hrs in service since.
· Both magnetos overhauled 12/2021 (84 hrs ago)
· New massive electrode spark plugs 6/2019 (168 hrs ago)
· Good compressions
· No prop strike history
· Complete logbook
· Despite my crappy pictures, the engine is cosmetically nice and will clean up very well
· Alternator, prop governor, and exhaust not included
The engine runs great, and will be removed from the aircraft shortly and preserved. At the moment it is still able to be run up, and interested parties are more than welcome to come and see it in operation. Once paid the engine can stay here for a few months until shipping arrangements are made. Freight charges are the buyer's responsibility, however I can secure it in a Continental wood shipping crate for an extra fee. For freight estimates it'll be about 740lbs in a 4'x4'x3' crate.
