12 ea. Continental IO470L Cylinders (used). $800 for all 12 cylinders
12 IO470L cylinders for sale that I removed from my Baron. Included are used cylinders, pistons, rings, and rocker box covers. The wrist pins will also be sent although the end plugs were scarred during removal from the pistons and rods. None of these components are being offered as airworthy parts for installation on an aircraft. These components were removed from my plane, and I installed new cylinders during overhaul. The right engine had 1600 hours and the left 2000 when the cylinders were removed even though the engines were operational. Engines were overhauled because one had a case crack. Compressions checks prior to the engines' removal indicated that the cylinders were airworthy.
Both engines were overhauled with new cylinders. I have the cardboard boxes that the new cylinders were shipped in, and I will use these boxes for shipment. The 12 boxes will be consolidated on a pallet, shrink wrapped, and the pallet will be located at a commercial address for pickup. Buyer arranges and pays freight. The cylinders are on a 48" x 48" x 30" high pallet and the total weight is 400#.
I listed these cylinders on Ebay but have had no offers. I heard used components such as these have some value for airboats, aviation themed art pieces, or cores. I will accept a lower offer although I do need to sell them for a sufficient price to justify the effort required to shrink wrap and prepare them for shipment as arranged by the buyer. Shipping from Helena, Montana 59601. Feel free to PM or call.
