Just curious, what would you upgrade to from this?

G600TXi

I always thought the the 500 TXI AND THE 600 TXI were the same thing just that the 500 TXI was for UNDER 6,000 lb and the 600 TXI was for 6,000 lb up to 12,500 lb.

Maybe his airplane is like me, every year it gets a little heavier

G600TXi has unlocks that the 500 doesn’t

You seem to have mixed G500TXi display resolution with the older G500 (non-TXi) system. G600TXi and G500TXi displays have the same resolution.

There are really only 2 differences:

1) The G500TXi is certified for Class I/II aircraft, G600TXi for Class III

2) The G600TXi has SVT already unlocked.

I follow now, I think. You can use the 600 TXI in any plane, with the proper STC, as long as the plane weighs 12,500 lb or less. In this case I think someone probably purchased a 600 TXI that already had unlocks that the existing 500 TXI did not have Not that the 600 TXI has capabilities of more or different unlocks, it just already had the unlocks. Thus, leaving this nice 500 TXI available, that someone can use as is or purchase the additional unlocks for in the future.
