SWMBO & I have decided it's time for us to exit the flight school business. Sharon recently hired on with NJ as an FO flying the CE700 and loves it, I'd like to have time to help out at a local animal shelter & start learning to sail & buy a boat so that we can head off to the islands in 5 years.
Sharon started the business 20 years ago with a single Piper Warrior, we're now at 6 Warriors (76 – 04) & 2 Seneca IIs all of which are included in the sale. We started to offer outside maintenance services in 2008 when I got my A&P but shut that down 2018/2019 as I was stretched too thin due to other commitments.
Also included: 1984 B58 – we had this on our 135 cert but that part of the business never took off so we turned it in. 1957 H35 project 1500 Gallon AvGas truck 60x80 Hangar & 60x80 Office space leased until Feb 2069 Clark DT25 diesel tug Lektro AP8350 Engine / avionics & airframe spare parts Tools.
Price $1,000,000 for the S-corp & assets.

Originally we leased the 4800sqft hangar that had a 20x40 office on the street side, we built a 60x80 structure over the top of that & built out classroom/office/pilot store/parts room/psi testing/kitchen etc. - the value of those improvements extended the lease. We also have the hangar with the rusted roof to the right that's on a month to month for $460 & 6 tiedown spots @$20/mo ea.

Thanks Benji & Robert, I don't have a musical bone in my body however I did hang onto a couple of projects that should keep me occupied for a while. Just as an FYI for anyone else looking to sell a business, I had this listed on BT & TAP for a couple of months without any activity. I then as a last resort posted it to our local FB aviation group LaAviator https://www.facebook.com/LaAviator and ended up meeting with 4 serious buyers within a week.
