I have the Aerotherm Alien Turbo. Works as it should. Comes with carrying bag and everything you see. I'll take $750 plus shipping.

Anybody got a pirep on these? I'd need the one for the twin instead of this one, but I'm curious as to how well they work.

I don’t have the turbo version, I have the basic model so keep that in mind. I love mine though, and have it connected to a remote switch that I can control from my phone. Turn on the heater a couple hours before I show up and the engine compartment is uniformly up to temp along with the entire engine block. This is my first winter season with it (Wisconsin) and it did an excellent job every time I flew.

I also used the basic model for my Commander 114-B and loved how it worked. I used a cell switch to turn it on with great results here in Michigan. I think the idea of heating the entire space around the engine makes sense. When I travelled, the heater was easy to use as well without a cowl cover for short visits in the winter months. It really seemed to need a cover to work well.

FWIW,

Jim

I made one myself using parts from amazon. Worked well.

I have one i use it before every flight in the winter here in Nova Scotia. I also have a cowl cover to retain as much heat as I can. I wish my hangar was secure enough to keep it in place with a cellular switch but I budget for 1 hour preheat every flight with it. It brings my CHT temps up from 32° (0° C) up to the mid 50’s on the coldest days. It also works to blow somw heat into the cabin making for happy passengers. Excellent product.
