I just did that, going the other way, from 2-plug to LEMO. I should have posted it here for a possible trade. Had the timing been better, the OP and I could have just swapped.

And you can get adapters. I have several of those.

Not on my Z3. The cover just exposes the switches for configuration, (stereo, mono, etc). No room for batteries.
