One more pirep on the Alpine MLG lighting system. Just flew it for the first time at night and can confirm they are phenomenal. While on short final the entire runway environment was lit up and clearly visible, and it was very easy to judge landing height in the flare.
Appropriately enough while holding short, I saw a deer grazing off the approach end of the runway. This at a “well fenced” class D airport.
Photos below. The before shot is just using my legacy HID landing light. After shot includes the forward facing wingtip LED recognition lights, also from James.
This is on an A36.
