I'm confused about STC vs. PMA. The Gallagher page doesn't say one way or the other. The Aircraft Spruce page insists it's FAA-PMA, including a confirming Q&A response. However, the WAT product page says it's FAA STC/PMA, and provides a PDF of the STC document. So which is it? Can I just owner-swap these as replacement bulbs, or do I have to get an STC issued for my tail number, and have an A&P install with a submitted Form 337?
Btw, I currently have Parmetheus Plus landing in the cowl, and taxi on the strut, both installed at the end of 2015. They've worked great all these years, but am considering upgrading for the higher light output. I installed the Plus's myself, under PMA. Or at least I'm pretty sure I they were under PMA, but as per above, I'm confused!

If you install via the STC an A&P/IA has to file a 337. With the PMA, as I understand it, a logbook entry is sufficient.

I have several of these G3 LED landing and taxi lights shipping out today. The G3 in both PAR-36 size (4.5" diameter) and PAR-46 (5.75" diameter) are the most popular products I sell and are the best bang for the buck for any LED landing or taxi light. I have an excellent inventory and orders ship same day. https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/wh ... hting.html <-- Order the G3 here 1-833-425-5288 <-- Call me if you want to talk gallagheraviationllc@gmail.com <-- Email me
