If you missed it at Oshkosh, Whelen Aerospace Technologies (WAT) announced and released their new Parmetheus G3 PAR-36 landing and taxi lights. At Oshkosh everyone sold out of their stock of G3s because they were so popular. I got to play with these a little bit prior to the release and they are incredible lights for the money. Incomparable I'd say. They are 2.5 times brighter then the PAR-36 Parmetheus Plus series LED landing and taxi lights boasting close to 140,000 candela power for the landing light. They are even brighter than the WAT Parmetheus Pro. If you're looking for landing and taxi light upgrade, this is it. The G3 is compatible with both 14V and 28V electrical systems. I have them in stock and ready to go. They are $305 each. https://www.gallagheraviationllc.com/wh ... hting.html <-- Order here gallagheraviationllc@gmail.com <-- Email me 1-833-425-5288 <-- Call me Here are some comparative photos I took using a tripod mounted DSLR with the same exact camera settings. James,
From WAT marketing, the Parmateus Plus is the same Brightness at the 10 min mark and actually brighter after? Why do they say that the G3 is 2.5x brighter?

Hi Marc, You are probably looking at the Parmetheus Pro. The Pro has outstanding thermal management characteristics built into the light. All high power LED lights can lose power and their effective candela if they are not adequately cooled. These measurements were done in a static environment in a lab. The Pro does better at cooling but the assumption is that airflow from a moving airplane will also help with cooling. AeroLED has atrocious thermal management. I stuck a laser heat gun and that thing was getting to 200 degrees on the backside of the lamp. The second generation Parmetheus Plus only does about 40,000 candela power whereas the G3 does about 140,000 out the gate. The Plus is not featured on that chart.
