For sale in Arizona:

This is a lot of Piper Autocontrol IIIB components, as removed and working from a 1977 Turbo Arrow III. The system is fairly complete, with the exception of the DG. An avionics shop previously had this interfaced to a G5 for GPSS steering (worked great), so some wiring has been modified. I’ll include the wiring and connectors I have, but it may not be complete for your application.

Id recommend these components be used to replace / service an existing system, rather than installing a system anew.

$1000 shipped takes it all. US sales only, payment via PayPal family and friends.

FWIW, a DG isn't actually part of the autopilot system, it's just a source of heading error in HDG mode so you're not actually missing anything there. It is useful to know if it was fed by a DG vs a HSI since the radio coupler would be different.

IIRC, the 1C388-M is for a DG heading source.

I have an Autocontrol IIIc being pulled right now. Do you need anything off that system? Elect trim coming out as well.

This system started life as a DG-based setup, and was converted to take input/deviation off a G5 before I pulled it. The connector on the radio coupler was modified (cut off, re-wired) for that.

The DG configured couplers don't work very well with a HSI because the heading and CDI inputs are separated in that case. Perhaps the G5 has some internal provision to handle this but if not you'd be required to adjust the heading bug and the course selector for a new course after a turn if you weren't using GPSS (e.g. flying a VOR or LOC course).
