Anyone have a spare 496 cable or know where to get one? Looking to connect up for a autopilot installation.

Pretty sure aircraft Spruce sells them for about $30. Also eBay. And even Amazon. It’s just a data power cable and should work with the 196-496 series

Make sure you get the genuine Garmin part # 010-10513-00, with 9 leads from all 9 contacts of the connector and a fused power lead. Many of the knock-offs only have 4 wires and dont connect to all data leads. They are Ground, Power, Voice +, Voice -, Port 1 in, Port 2 in, Port 1 out, Port 2 out, and "Alarm".

I have one brand new that I never did use. Bought from the Pilot Shop on line for $32.95 plus shipping. I will sell this one for $30 shipped. PM if interested.

My connector only has 4 pins. I've owned/used 396/496's for many years and still do. I have two power plugs and was going to use but they only have 2 wires. I'm assuming the other two wires provide the signal to drive an autopilot. I will look at a friends tomorrow to verify how many wires his has as it does drive his autopilot in his RV6A.
