The part# for my KA51B is 071-1242-06 which means it has 28v lighting for the meter. I never realized until now that the slaving meter was supposed to be illuminated internally and it turns out that lamp is burned out. If you could live without that lamp it will work fine on a 14v system. Alternatively, an avionics shop could probably replace the lamp with a 14v bulb. The KG102A gyro has a switch to select 14 or 28 volts and the KI-525 gets it's power from the KG102A.

Thanks, Jay When I checked on the internal illumination of the slaving control, I found that the lamps are easily replaced and they can be strapped for 14 or 28 volts so this system could be used on either voltage. Also now that I've had a chance to look at recent sales and offers for King HSIs I've concluded that the going price is more like $800-1000 for working systems without a recent 8130 so I'm lowering my price to $850.

Mine's probably been without internal illumination for years, the slaving meter isn't something I look at very often, especially at night.

Attachment: IMG_5097.JPG Attachment: IMG_5245.JPG Attachment: IMG_5102.JPG Attachment: IMG_5249.JPG Attachment: IMG_5168.JPG Attachment: IMG_5251.JPG I have two fluxgates, the one shown was purchased from an avionics shop with a 8130 as a spare and the other was "working when removed" from my airplane recently. The KNI525 was overhauled in 2008 and has been working in the airplane ever since. The rest was purchased new sometime in 1998 and has been working fine in my airplane. Includes the complete harnesses, connectors and mounting hardware for all of the items. I also have a KA-52 autopilot adapter if you need that (was needed for a C-III, might be required for other autopilots).
