Is the altimeter still available? If so is it internally lighted?

I think that it is internally lighted, although I must admit that I flew with it so little at night, I am not 100% sure. I usually kept the instrument lights turned down. My glareshield has red lights in it and I've always preferred that over the other.

Edit: I forgot to answer your question about the autopilot. I have a KFC200. All of this stuff worked with that and a 530W. I wanted rid of the vacuum system, and Garmin made that possible with the GI275. Of course, it pushes me a bit closer to their autopilot, but from what I've seen of that autopilot I want it.
