You can save money updating Bendix/King GPS databases by using the Commander 2000K and items C) and D) listed for sale in the original post above. Bendix/King offer three different methods to accomplish database updates in their various GPS products, each method with a different cost. Assume that you have a KLN-90B that you want to get a one time database update for. The Bendix/King website has a link to their Wingman database update service. The attached photo shows their catalog pricing for their KLN-90/KLN-900 GPS line.

The most expensive option is to order out and use their cartridge method which costs $141 for the database itself and an addition media fee of $184 for a total cost of $325. The 2nd method is to order out and use their diskette method which costs $141 plus the media fee of $95 for a total cost of $235. Using this method you load the diskette into your computer or laptop and then download the update into your KLN-90B (removed from your aircraft panel) and then using the Commander 2000K and item C) and D) cables to connect your KLN-90B to your computer or laptop. The lease expensive option is to order out the database update via the internet from the Bendix/King website at a total cost of only $141 (no media fee charged). With the database up downloaded into your computer or laptop, it can then be downloaded into your KLN-90B using the Commander 2000K and item C) and D) cables as in the 2nd method above.
