OEM Description:Using the 978MHz datalink frequency band, which is one of two channels available to pilots in the United States airspace for ADS-B, Avidyne’s SkyTrax100B ADS-B In Receiver provides Flight Information System-Broadcast (FIS-B) weather information, including NEXRAD radar, METARs,TAFs, AIRMETs, SIGMETs, Special Use Airspace (SUA), and Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs). The SkyTrax100B will also receive traffic information directly from nearby 978MHz-equipped aircraft, and indirectly through the rebroadcast of 1090MHz-equipped aircraft via 978MHz ADS-R. Hey Chase, Since that's a rebranded NavWorx box, with Avidyne's software, I was wondering if Avidyne ever implemented the 1090 receiver NavWorx included in the box... but never got the software FAA approved? Does Avidyne have a non-NavWorx dependent successor?

Hi Paul,
The Skytrax100B is actually an Avidyne manufactured box with no ties or relation to Navworx. This unit is single band in, but it's possible Avidyne will have a dual band solution in the near future.
