There are definitely more knowledgeable people than I on here regarding bonanzas. That said I can tell you with the same tip tank on a big engine Navion I need to fly 1 hr before going direct to a tip. I can fly plus or minus 38 minutes on a tip before it’s out of fuel so I am pumping 6-7 gal hr back to the main. Anything less than an hour I will pump fuel overboard through the vent system. Just fly longer before going to the main and your problem will go away!

You may have a fuel venting issue. Regardless, if you don't burn at least 10 gallons out of your left main first. If you burn from tips first, the excess gets dumped out the port as there is no room in the left main to accept the return. I always burn 15 gallons from left main. Then right tip, left tip, back to left main and land on right main. You can cross feed, but I always find one tip going faster than the other so I don't.

A BT friend was showing off his plane to me recently, and I asked him about his tips. I believe he thought they were Osbornes. I opened that filler hatch, and lo and behold, there was a Brittain tag inside them!!! They were OEM Beechcraft tip tanks, supplied by Brittain, who was later acquired by Osborne (now GAMI, of course). For me, it was a fun, historic discovery! :thumbup:

I concur. My 1960 Deb had these installed at the factory in 1962.
