Up today is a JPI 760 with fresh 8130, harness, and probes that I was going to put in Laz. I found a deal today on eBay for a G3 that I can use on the trade-in program for a G4 Twin so I'm going to go that route, no longer need this. It had a cracked display from using screws that were too long, so it just came back from JPI this past week with a new display and a fresh 8130-3. Includes harness, 12 EGT probes, 12 CHT probes, and OAT probe. This is the unit that does not need to be "unlocked" to add things like Oil Pressure, TIT, etc. Just add the sensor to the P1 harness connector and it will work automatically. Asking $2,100 shipped. Thanks!

That's what we did on the Baron, works perfectly so long as you use the shielded type and ground the shield properly on both ends. The 1200 isn't nearly as sensitive to that kind of work as the later color Insights and JPI's. The internal circuitry I think is a little more robust in the legacy units, it just can't do the fancy stuff.

Sorry I’ve been messing with different monitors lately and was in a hurry.
And no it’s not difficult to splice in a harness with the correct wiring and no it won’t skew anything.
Your withdrawal is noted. It will go on eBay tomorrow evening and sell there easily. I just thought I’d give BT’ers first dibs.

Thanks! Rich out of curiosity what did JPI charge for screen replacement / upgrade? Also these units are very easy to upgrade to the 8XX functionality within submenu in the settings.

That's what I've heard about 8xx upgradability for fuel flow, oil temp, etc. Someone on eBay has the oil temp probes half off what JPI charges, and fuel flow senders are around pretty routinely. They charged $450 shipped for the screen replacement, has a fresh 8130 with it. I texted the other gentleman about it last night, then realized he's an hour ahead of me. Will touch base with him today. We're putting the G4 in Laz this week.
