The high-quality KI 206 VOR/LOC/glideslope radio navigation indicator can be used with a GPS system because it does not have a built in converter to block the GPS signal path. Use it along with an annunciator control unit (ACU) to meet the FAA requirements for an instrument flight rules GPS installation. It also features of left-to-right meter movement, as opposed to pendulum, making the device easy to read. Because the needle remains vertical throughout its range of travel the pilot can better determine the degree of correction needed to stay on course.

It also comes with a to-from indicator, glideslope deviation needle, VOR/LOC and glideslope warning flag, and omnibearing selector (OBS). Chose the optional course datum synchro to link the KI 206 to a compass system such as the KCS 55A. This option saves the pilot from continually manually adjusting the degree of correction.

Use the KI 206 with the KNS 80 NAV/RNAV/DME/glideslope, KNS 81 NAV/RNAV/glideslope, KX 165 NAV/COMM, and the KNR 634 VOR/LOC/GS/MB Receiver (at 400 Hz). Works well with the remote mounted KN 73 or KN 75 glideslope receivers, as well as the KN 72 and KN 77 remote mounted VOR/LOC converters.

Comes internally lit with a grey or black metal bezel and a glass lens. Models available with 5 volt lighting. TSOd.

Can a KI-206 interface with an SL-30 to display LOC/GS?

Yes it can , and is commonly used with the garmin radios..

Hello Alan,

I have the KX165 (24V) as NAV 2 but it is coupled to KI-202 (no glide-slope but has the rectilinear presentation). Question if I got the KI-206, would this be a plug-play for the avionics shop to enable the glide-slope or would this require some additional wiring?

I would like to have a GS presentation so I could gain precision approach capability as a back-up but I worry if wiring is required, my avionics shop would not be able to accommodate me for a while due to ADSB backlog.

As long as your KX165 has a Glideslope receiver , it will require 4 wires to be added between the KI206 and the KX165..

Do you have any left w/12VDC internal lighting?
Do they work with KX-155s?
Glass or plastic lenses?

They have lighting in 12 , and 24 volt , Is a wiring config at install , These do have a glass lens , This will not work with a KX155..

I started with 22 , I am down to 10 ... Lets get these gone !!
