Hi Chase, interested in the PMA8000B. Is that item identical to the 8000BT just minus the Bluetooth?

Jon Jon, That’s correct. It’s simply a straight forward 6 place intercom with pretty darn good audio quality.

Chase just curious what advantages do you see in the 430W over the GNC 355? Currently Garmin is advertising the 355 for $6,995 (about 800 bucks more than what you're asking)..... My plane needs GPS and I'm really trying to balance if the newer technology is worth the added cost. Thanks

The GNC 355 is only GPS/Comm. It is not a GPS/NAV/COM like the 430 (granted, the 355 is a nicer/modern GPS, so there is that trade-off).

I currently have 2 MAC nav/com radios that I was planning to keep for cost and simplicity so I don't necessarily need another NAV, I also have ADSB done so that's not a consideration....I'm just wondering what, if any, advantages there might be to a 430W over a 355 aside from what you have pointed out? Thanks

Philip,
Sounds like you found what you're looking for in the GPS175. Although yes the 355 is a GPS/Comm only, and fits the bill for a majority of customers, we're still seeing strong demand for GPS/NAV/Comms across the board, especially with our fleet/flight school commonality required customers. It's all about your mission profile. Admittedly we did see a dip in sales when the 355 was announced, but many customers have honestly reported back that although the hardware meets their needs, due to either forced touch or screen size for older eyes, they couldn't make the leap.
Lastly, sometimes the biggest differentiator would be that the 430W can be sold over the counter and installed by an A&P while the 355 can not, and some Garmin dealers are just booked way too far out, often into 2020. The 175 is OTC approved. Happy shopping!
