I have another IO-550R coming out of IRAN/Overhaul. (TruAtlantic STC for the Bonanza or Navion Custom's STC for the Navion.) I think there're several more STC's out there but I and familiar with these two.

310 HP Top Induction Continental Platinum Engine from SR-22

This particular SR-22 ran out of gas and the pilot pulled the Chute. The 22 came down Power Off into a field. As a result, I sent the engine out for a full Prop Strike Inspection and IRAN.

Spec's

Bottom-end
Crankshaft balanced to within .5 inch-ounces and meets new dimensional limit tolerances. Reground and nitrated. All new counterweight bushings, pins, plates, snap rings, plugs, bearings and oil seal. Replaced Camshaft and lifters. All gears, castings, counterweights, and housings were inspected and replaced as needed. Connecting rods resurfaced, rebushed, and honed to new tolerances. Weight distribution checked and corrected, grind areas shot peened. Rods checked for stretch and alignment. All balanced to within 1 gram. All new: Bushings, bolts, nuts, keys, and bearings.

Top Overhaul
Cylinder assemblies have NEW: Pistons, piston pins, piston rings, intake valves, exhaust valves, intake and exhaust seats, intake and exhaust guides, inner and outer valve springs, valve keepers, roto coils, oil control seals and rocker shafts.

All parts meet new limit tolerances - service limit tolerances were not used

Factory specs test cell run will be the end of this week. They use a flight prop and governor for the test.

Basically everything important has been completed to take you another 2200 hours to that theoretic 2200 hour TBO however the engine time remains at 930 hours.
