I have a Lycoming IO-720 BIB Overhauled by Pacific Continental Engines. It is setup for the MR.R.P.M. Aero Commander. It comes with all logbooks and paperwork. Asking $39,500 obo.

Doesn't seem like a bad price at all for a core + a fresh overhaul I recall paying at least that much to overhaul the one in our brave, in 1995 dollars

I am about to rebuild my one IO-720-A1B. If this engine did not have up-stack exhaust, I would be seriously interested. All 8 cylinder's do me no justice for my Excalibur.......... Gregg

Thanks Darryl HI Darryl, I have had a few inquiries about converting the B1B to an A1B and I'm not sure exactly was involved in the conversion. I have a call into Pacific Continental to see what would have to be done and I will get back to you on it. I see Gregg who chimed in on the tread has an Excalibur with the A1B so maybe he might be able to help with your question. Thanks, Jack

Piper used the IO-720 in the Comanche 400. Seemed to recall that was pretty spritely but, as expected, drank a bunch more gas than the lower powered versions.
