I am offering highly durable fluorosilicone o-ring kits for your various fuel caps. Please PM me or respond to this thread with your interest to include type and quantity. I will PM you for shipping and to provide you with payment information.

These fluorosilicone o-rings offer superior durability to help your fuel caps keep the fuel in and to keep water out compared to your less superior rubber nitrate o-rings, which have to be replaced frequently. I will be offering kits for Shaw 531/431 caps, Shaw 416 caps, and Gabb caps. Prices and contents are below. These prices also include shipping. CSOBeech has a great writeup on these o-rings at http://www.csobeech.com/fuel-caps.html. Installation is pretty straight forward but there is additional guidance on CSOBeech.

Today I installed all new fluorosilicone o-rings on my four fuel tanks on my M35 Bonanza. They were absolutely needed. Not only were the old rubber nitrate breaking down on the big o-rings, the little ones were in poor shape too.
The kit includes both the outer and the often overlooked inner plunger ring. If either are not working correctly, they can let water into your fuel tanks. Each kit also includes the correct cotter pins for the castle nut on the bottom of your fuel caps.

- Shaw 431/531 fuel cap kit - $14.00 each
o M25988/1-338 – big o-ring
o M25988/1-010 – small o-ring
o MS24665-298 – cotter pin

- Shaw 416/516 fuel cap kit - $13.00 each
o M25988/1-232 – big o-ring
o M25988/3-010 – small o-ring
o MS24665-132 – cotter pin

- Gabb fuel cap kit - $15.50 each
o M25988/1-339 – big o-ring
o M25988/1-110 – small o-ring
o MS24665-298 – cotter pin

- D'Shannon 15 Gallon Screw Type Fuel Cap Kit - $10.00 Each
o 2x o-ring replacements per kit

- D'Shannon 15/20 Gallon Flip Top Type Fuel Cap Kit - $11.00 Each
o 2x small o-ring replacements per kit
o 1x large o-ring replacement per kit

I would take 6 of the 531 kits when you get started.

I'll take enough GABB kits to do my bonanza twice... so four gas caps worth.

I would commit to two sets. Can't remember which cap, but one of the Shaws. Replaced them several years ago so probably getting close to needing them again soon.

Also, would like to replace the O rings on my D'Shannon 15 gallon tip tanks. Any one have any idea the number of those? Have not yet checked with D'Shannon, would prefer the fluorosilicone and figured theirs would be the standard rubber.

I'd buy the Gabb kit.

Keep em coming guys. When I order all of these o-rings I have to make a minimum order. I can't just buy two, or six, or twenty. If you try to buy them individually you can expect to pay at least $20 per ring. So to make this work, I need to sell a bunch! :D

Do they come in pink, to match the interior you suggested for my plane?

Put me down for 2 sets when my current new ones deteriorate...in like 15 years!

Yeah... these things are not good for reoccuring sales. Once I outfit the entire GA fleet I'll be out of a job!

I'll take 4 sets for the Baron. Truthfully I don't know which cap it has, I'll have to look and let you know.

Two Shaw caps. Don't know which #; they say "USAF". I'll check later today.

Yup it's important to be able to distinguish between the too. The later model Shaw fuel caps (531/431) I think have a 3.5" opening while the older Shaw caps (416) only have a 3" opening.
