Username Protected wrote: James, I have a C414 and would like 4 sets. I don't see the p/n anywhere on the caps, but the large o-ring measures at 3 ⅛". Is that enough to identify what I need? I'll be at OSH from Thurs-Sat and will try to find you. Lance, snap a picture of the top and bottom of the fuel cap and email it to me at gallagheraviationllc@gmail.com. I do believe you have a Shaw 531 type fuel cap based upon some simple market research. I plan on parking in Vintage Aircraft Camping and I will post details to this forum then. I'll be bringing plenty of fuel cap kits.

Good evening, There is a possibility I might have shipped you the incorrect large oring for this kit. Your fuel cap should take a M25988-338 and I might have sent you a M25988-339, which goes on another fuel cap. I believe this happened back into June due to the calamity of my cross country move. If your o-rings do not fit on your fuel cap, please email me at gallagheraviationllc@gmail.com and I will send you the correct rings. I apologize for the inconvenience and I appreciate your understanding. James

Prior to installation and disassembly of your fuel cap you should compare your large o-rings to each other. If they are different please contact me. It will be obvious if you try to install them and the big ring is too big for the fuel cap.

What he sent fit perfectly. Yes, I discovered that the 310, 414, 431 twins have Shaw 516 fuel caps, whoch use the same o-rings as the 416 fuel cap.
